Serves 4
1 pound hamburger (85% lean)
1 large yellow squash, sliced
1 medium onion, cleaned and sliced
2 Medium Red Bell Peppers (or whatever color bell peppers you prefer), sliced
6 garlic cloves, crushed and chopped
2 tablespoons Sesame Seed Oil
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large head of cabbage, sliced into large pieces, stem removed
3 tablespoons Molasses
2 tablespoons butter
In a 12-inch fry or sauté pan, heat the butter until starts to foam, add molasses and cabbage and stir on Medium Heat, stirring often until cabbage cooks down leaving 4 tablespoons of liquid in bottom of pan (About 1 hour) Remove to bowl. In the same fry pan, add sesame oil in pan, add onions and yellow squash and sauté on Medium heat for 7 minutes, stirring every minute. Add bell peppers and cook for 2 minutes, remove from heat and place vegetables in bowl for later. Add olive oil, crushed garlic and cook until garlic starts to turn brown, add hamburger and cook, stirring often until fully cooked. Spoon hamburger toward pan’s handle and tilt pan to spoon out fat and water. Add cabbage, add all vegetables and 6 oz. Excalibur Mandarin Teriyaki ( and stir thoroughly.
Place heat on Low and cover for 5 minutes, stir, cover for additional 5 minutes. Stir again and serve over rice or pasta or just by itself.
